  1. What is Mahaconnect?
    Ans : You can access various services of Bank of Maharashtra at anytime, anywhere and from anyplace provided you have access to an Internet Connection. With Mahaconnect, your bank travels with you everywhere. You have online, real time access for different services provided under a completely secure environment, using 128-bit encryption Secure Socket Layer ( SSL).

  2. Why Mahaconnect?
    Ans : Internet Banking opens up an entirely new way of doing your banking, anytime and from anywhere in the world 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  3. Who can use Mahaconnect Services?
    Ans : Mahaconnect is available to all the customers of CBS branches of Bank of Maharashtra.
    Disclaimer: Bank of Maharashtra reserves the right to offer Mahaconnect services to selected customers at its discretion and at such limited locations as may be specified by the Bank from time to time.

  4. What about Security?
    Ans : The Bank maintains the highest of standards as far as security technology is concerned, some of which are : 128 bit SSL encryption - This is the highest level of security available for communication and transactions on the Internet. SSL encryption allows the Bank to encrypt information, so that when it travels through the internet, it is encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone . SSL also ensures that information is sent to the correct place and that it is not tampered with.

  5. What do I need to use the services?
    Ans : You need a PC with minimum PII processor, 32 MB RAM with Internet Explorer 5.0 or above.

  6. What if, I do not have a PC?
    Ans : No problem. You can access it from any computer having Internet connectivity.

  7. Is it safe to login from Cyber Cafe?
    Ans : Yes, provided you do not disclose your passwords to anyone and logout properly and take necessary precautions. Bank recommends not to access Internet Banking from Cyber Cafe.

  8. How do I get access to Internet Banking Services?
    Ans : You need to have an account at any of our CBS (Core Banking Solution) branch. Then you need to apply for the Internet Banking Services with the branch by filling the application form.

  9. What if, I do not have an account with Bank of Maharashtra?
    Ans : We shall be glad to have your account with us. Walk in any of our branches, our staff will assist you.

  10. How do I get User-Id and password for the Internet Banking Services?
    Ans : User Id & Passwords will be sent to the address registered with the Bank. If your current address is not updated in the Bank's record, please get it updated at the earliest.

  11. I am a Bank of Maharashtra customer but do not have account at a CBS branch. What shall I do to avail Internet Banking Services?
    Ans : You can either open an account at any of our CBS branches or ask for transfer of your existing account from your branch to a CBS branch. Any how all the branches of Bank of Maharashtra will be migrated to CBS by March-2010.

  12. I want to register for Internet Banking Services . What do I do?
    Ans : Kindly download the application form, fill in the details and submit it to your branch.

  13. Why are the Password so cryptic?
    Ans : The machine generates passwords for your first time access randomly and we have no control over it. It is mandatory to change your passwords at first login.

  14. Can I change the User Id and Password?
    Ans : It is mandatory for you to change the machine-generated passwords with your own passwords at first login. You can change your passwords any no. of times subsequently but you can not change your User Id.

  15. How to change passwords?
    Ans : Passwords can be changed any time and any number of times. To secure access to your account through Internet, it is recommended to change it often . You can go to Customise option and change your passwords.

  16. What are the good practices for creating a password?
    Ans : You are requested to choose a password that is not a dictionary word and not guessable from your personal information known to others such names in the family, vehicle numbers etc. You should change your password frequently. Please try to remember the password and do not write it down or paste it somewhere. Do not tell your password to anybody even if they claim to be from the bank.

  17. What happens if I forget my login password?
    Ans : Nothing to worry. Just click on "forgot password" at the login page, fill in all desired information and submit. Within 10 days you will get your new password mailed to you at your address registered with the bank.

  18. What happens if I forget my User Id for Internet Banking?
    Ans : In case you forget the User Id for Internet Banking Services, please contact Internet Banking Cell.

  19. I am unable to login with the couriered Password and allotted Customer Id.
    Ans : Passwords are case sensitive. Also be a little more careful while typing the system-generated passwords for the first time. In case you are still not able to login, Please contact Internet Banking Cell or write to mahaconnect@mahabank.co.in

  20. What happens if I don't logout?
    Ans : Please ensure to logout in proper way. However, if you abruptly close your Internet Banking page, your session will end. Kindly do not leave your system in between during Internet Banking, as this will give opportunity to others around you to operate your accounts
